Development Commission Doubles 2018 Budget, Sets Sights on National Resource Mobilization

The assembly, held on August 25 and 26, 2024 (Nehasse 19-20, 2017 E.C.) at the Gulele Paulos local church, was attended by the denomination's President, Vice President, Development Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Board members, Regional Presidents, the Seminary President, and invited international guests.
The program opened with a keynote address by the Development Commissioner, Pastor Berhanu Tareke�, followed by a spiritual greeting and message from the President of the denomination, Pastor Lako Bedasso. The event featured musical worship by Teacher Hiruy Admasu and a spiritual message on "Holistic Service" (Spiritual, Physical, Social, and Emotional) delivered by Pastor Shiferaw Feyissa.
During the session, the assembly reviewed and evaluated the 2017 fiscal year operational and financial reports. Furthermore, the Commission discussed the 2018 (E.C.) work plan and officially approved the budget for the upcoming year.
Reflecting on the assembly, Commissioner Pastor Berhanu Tareke� stated, "We have discussed how to effectively mobilize and utilize domestic resources to reduce foreign aid dependency." He highlighted that the development budget for 2018 has doubled, signaling a readiness to expand development projects across all regions of the country. The Commissioner concluded by expressing gratitude to God and the various partners who supported their efforts.
The two-day assembly concluded with a closing prayer by the Vice President of the denomination, Pastor Lewoyehu Snshaw, thanking God for a successful session and seeking divine guidance for the work ahead.
